Chewy Chocolate Cookies

Makes roughly 24 cookies.

Takes approximately 45 minutes (start to finish).

Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour

2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix together dry ingredients first—flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

In a large bowl (where you’ll form your dough), beat butter and sugar together until creamy. You could use a stand mixer for this, or you can do it by hand.

Add the eggs and vanilla extract to your butter/sugar mixture and stir to combine.

Dump in your dry ingredients and mix everything together to form your dough. Don’t overmix—stop once it’s all combined.

Scoop your dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Each dough blob should be about a tablespoon each.

Bake for 8-10 minutes.
